That’s literally all religions in existence, Islam was just bred by many both outside and in to have considerable amounts of bigotry, and since the area did not industrialize at nearly the same rate, culture and living standards kept it where it was.

I’m saying you’re blowing ig out of proportion. I’m an apatheist, I’m not here to defend it, I’m here to say what it actually is. Saying Islam specifically sucks requires all religions to have the same status, considering that most Muslims adhere to the same general moral teachings and guidelines as Christian’s and Jews. Their texts and extremes are different, but they’re relatively similar to others, so if one is to hate on Islam, all other religions should be condemned as well.

No it does not, Islam has very different teachings, you are being a cultural relativist....Islam teaches that apostasy is a sin worthy of death.....attacking the character of the prophet is worthy of death.....Islam is the ONLY religion that teaches this shit.

That’s just false, but no, it is rare to be killed for attacking the teachings of their caliphs and prophets. Most often, this usually appears in nations with Sharia Law, the same way as it used to previously happen in the Holy Roman Empire, the Byzantine Empire, and far more. It’s not the only place it happens, it’s more prevalent because their fundamentalists are more prevalent. Every religion and culture can have more or less radical strains of itself, the less radical ones are winning in Christian nations while the more radical ones win in Muslim nations. Christianity and Judaism have much of these same violent threats, they prophesy of their opposition being struck down, often being interpreted by their own followers as a call to commit religious violence. They’re not the only ones, I won’t defend Islam, but I’m definitely going to set them straight. I get it, many religions have a higher concentration of violence or violent threats in their text, but this is nothing new, the other religions are not immune, and Islam is not the most violent in history if we must look into their beliefs and values.

Back to today where technology and access to resources makes your culture force itself into moderation, while poorer nations aren’t nearly as much. That’s just direct correlation, it has nothing to do with innate violence. You think Muslims believe they’re worshipping some warlike god with no mercy attached? No, often the terror and violence is consistently stated to be caused by their own political views rather than by religion, it’s a motivating factor at best most often.

What ever causes it is irrelevent....It exists, and pretending it doesn't is putting your head in the sand.

The cause is one of the most relevant factors, it explains the situation to its fullest, and if you care about fixing that issue or finding the real problem, that’s how you find it.
