"The Monolith, you say?" Dr. Desolation replied.
"Yes," said Taya. "I think Resheph wants to use it to infect the entire multiverse with the Plague of Decay."
"Good heavens," Dr. D gasped. "This situation is most dire. As fortune would have it, though, I happen to know the precise location of the Monolith."
"Great! Can you take me there?"
The Doctor shifted nervously. "You see, fair lady, I am afraid it 'tis not as simple as that. The Monolith can only be accessed by a god, which I am not."
"I'm a semi-goddess though," Taya pointed out. "I can go there."
"If so, you must make haste," said Dr. Desolation. "Here, I still hath yet a vial of Sha blood left." He grabbed a bottle of the red liquid off his shelf, along with a piece of parchment.
"Here is the map to the Monolith, and along with my vial. Use them wisely, fair lady."
"Thanks," Taya said, and headed back to her spaceship. She scanned the Monolith map onto her navigation computer, and the ship's autopilot did the rest.
She just hoped that she wouldn't be too late.

The floating island that the Monolith stood on was surrounded by a glowing purple barrier. As Taya flew the spaceship through, she suddenly noticed that she wasn't in her spaceship anymore. The force field had left it on the other side, where it slowly drifted off into space.
"Well, crap," Taya groaned. "There goes my ride home."
The magical energy inside the force field slowly lifted Taya down onto the floating island. It was nothing but gray rock, with a gigantic black spire jutting out from the center.
"The Monolith," gasped Taya. "I made it."
Then, looking up, she saw Resheph on top, placing an orb of green energy on top.
Taya cringed. "But not fast enough."
She pulled out Leukos and slowly began to scale the Monolith. As she climbed, she noticed something. Leukos was sending out streams of energy that were latching onto the sides and allowing her to climb more easily. About five minutes later, and Taya had reached the top.
Unfortunately, Resheph had already performed his spell. The green orb, shrouded in mist, was now sending out pulses of energy that broke through the force field and out into space.
"No..." Taya moaned. "I'm too late..."
Resheph turned his gaze on Taya. "You! You're that girl from Infernus!"
"Dang right I am," she growled, pulling out Leukos. "And my powers have doubled by then."
"Two times zero is still zero," snickered Resheph.
"Too bad for you, because I'm not into math." And with that, Taya charged at the god of plagues.

Resheph quickly brought up his staff to block the blow. Taya was frozen in midair, unable to move at all.
"Pathetic," Resheph said.
He didn't notice Leukos slowly cutting into his staff. It broke the spearhead right off, and Taya fell to the ground.
"Fiendishly clever," said Resheph. "But not clever enough." A swirl of green mist encircled the tip of the staff, and a new spearhead emerged. With a chuckle, Resheph raised the point above Taya's chest.
But just as he struck downwards, something fast and bright sliced the spearhead off again. A burst of flame struck Resheph in the chest, and he recoiled in pain.
Taya gasped. It wasn't just any kind of flame.
It was Spirit Flame.
Which meant-
"Greetings, Bladesmith's Apprentice," said Awenasa, extending an arm out to Taya.

Awenasa lifted Taya back to her feet.
"What are you doin' here?" Taya asked.
"I could feel Resheph's escape," Awen explained. "I could feel it through nature. Animals were acting skittish, and the plants showed stunted growth. And when I heard the news about the escape, I knew Resheph would be headed for the Monolith."
Resheph himself was already recovering, pulling himself up off the ground and reforming his spearhead.
"Let's take him," said Taya.
Awen nodded in agreement, and the two of them rushed at the god of plague. Awenasa created an axe blade out of her Spirit Flame, and Resheph blocked it with his spear. A red glow formed on the spearhead, and it promptly snapped in half again.
"Your spear is the weakest weapon I have ever seen," Awen told him.
"I don't need a spear when I have plague magic," Resheph said, extending his hands. Tendrils of green mist erupted from them, and they wrapped Awenasa in a chokehold.
"Say goodbye to your insides," Resheph chuckled. "Stupid sna- AAAUUUGGGHHH!!!"
Taya had taken advantage of the battle between Awen and Resheph to sneak behind him. She stabbed Resheph through the gut with Leukos. The god of plague screamed in agony as crimson veins of magical energy crisscrossed over his skin and clothes. Red light poured out of his eyes, and Resheph promptly crumbled into a pile of dust.
"Dang," Taya remarked. "I've never killed a god before."
The orb of plague on top of the Monolith pulsed one last time, then completely dissipated. Taya grabbed the bottle of Sha blood off her belt and poured it into the basin on top of the Monolith. Instantly waves of red energy began rippling out into the multiverse. Taya grabbed Leukos and thrust it straight into the basin as well. The ripples became stronger and more frequent, and Taya's appearance slowly went back to normal.
"We did it," said Awen.
