*Shonte immediately drops her bags and rushes to his side* "Daph..!? What happened? Are you okay..?"

Daph: I-I love you too-

*she smiles, laying in his arms. as he hugged her, he would be able to kinda feel her ribcage*

*worry flickers across his face, and he hugs her a bit tighter*

*he would then feel her stomach rumble in hunger, but she seemed to ignore it.*

Daph: …please eat, it doesn’t even have to be a lot but… your making me worried.

"...okay.." *she got up, fixing herself a small portion of the dish they had made earlier*

*he smiles, feeling a bit guilty*

*she ate the portion and then sat back down with him nervously.* "I- i'm sorry.. I didn't mean to worry you.."

*he hugs you*
Daph: it’s okay… It’s just- my sister never ate and it resulted in uh- *he pauses, still hugging you*

*she hugs him back, rubbing his back gently* ? *she just waited for him to finish his sentence when he was ready*

Daph: I put you in harms way- im so stupid- why-

"But I wasn't harmed... Don't feel guilty, everyone is safe.. I chose to come because I love you, okay?"

*he nodded*
Daph: okay…I love you to.

"Let's go home..." *she kissed him and gripped his hand, starting to walk home with him*

*he walked alongside*

*she wrapped an arm around his waist as they walked*

*he smiled at her*

*when they got back to the house, she held him close as she laid down on the couch with him*

*he sat in silence with her, still thinking about what happened*

"Hey...what's on your mind..?" *she gently placed his head on her chest, holding him close*

*he smiled a little then went back to his screen*

*you see her working in electrical, you see brown just standing behind her suspiciously*

*he walked over, so if one of them died the other could report*

*Right as you walked over, brown killed her*

*he reported the body immediately*

*she chuckled softly, watching the chat as they tried to decide who had killed her*

Daph: *he swallows down tears* It made my father angry- which resulted in- him… burning our house down. With my mother and sister inside.

"Oh my god... that's horrible.." *she held onto him tight, kissing the top of his head* "It's ok to cry sweetheart.. let it out.."

*he shakes his head*
Daph: No. I’m trying to help you. I’m not important.

*she shakes her head* "You ARE important babe.. you're very important to ME. I love you so much, and no matter what the circumstances are, I want you to feel safe telling me anything. I'm always gonna be here for you.."

*he looks surprised for a moment then smiles, a tear running down his face before wiping it away and breaking eye contact with you*

*she holds him close, rubbing his back* "I love you.."

Daph: …..I love you too.

*she gently caresses his cheek as she looked up at him, smiling*

*you notice him looking a bit nervous, then smiling back at you*

*she smiled softly* "You look a little nervous, you alright..?"

Daph: thanks- *he pauses and looks at you, then decides not to ask because it might be personal*

*you also notice that you've rarely ever seen her eat anything*
*she smiles, putting on a movie happily*

Daph: hey uh… how come you don’t really eat..? I’m sorry if that’s personal- it’s just- *he blushes out of embarrassment*

*she looks a little nervous, muttering softly to where he could just barely hear* "because I don't deserve to.."

*his face goes pale a bit, and he takes your hands in his*
Daph: why on gods green earth would you not deserve to?! Of all people?!

*she holds onto his hands, stuttering a bit* "I-it's a long story..." *a few tears fell out of her eyes, it seems there was some trauma behind this*

*his face shows sympathy and he gives your hands a loving squeeze*
Daph: it’s okay. You don’t have to tell me. Just eat something at some point, for me okay? *he smiles*

*she nodded, suddenly moving into his arms, laying against him*

*he looks a bit surprised for a moment before hugging you, and setting his chin on your head*

*she hugs him, laying her head against his chest, snuggling up to him*

Daph: You already know what I’m gonna say-

*she wrapped herself around him happily*

*he smiled and kissed her cheek*

*she kissed him, holding the kiss passionately*

*he tensed up a little in a good way*

*she continued with the kiss for awhile, laying on top of him as they kissed*

*for being a soft guy, he somehow managed to bravery to put his arms around her waist*

*she smiled, continuing with the kiss passionately, placing her hands around his hips*

"You ok sweetheart-?"

*he smiles, his demeanor completely changed from when you first found him*
Daph: I’m not very good at cooking-

*she smiles back with a loving glint in her eye* "Don't worry I'll show you!"

Daph: Okay… *he looks a bit nervous, due to past ✨tRaUmA✨ he gets nervous when working around fire and other people*

*she notices, making sure to keep him away from the fire as they cooked, and before long, the dish was ready*

Daph: How they heck do you cook so amazing-

*she smiled* "I taught myself because it's fun!"

Daph: all I have the skills for is my shadow notebook. *he does a little facepalm*

*she pats his back gently* "You ready to start the movie?"

*nods*

*she fixes him a plate and hands it to him. she sits down on the couch next to him. he would notice that she didn't fix a plate for herself*

Daph: same thing as always.

*she was trying to distract him*

"Hey uhh- wanna play a game?"

Daph: …sure.

"How about Among Us?"

*she smiled, pulling out her phone and setting up a lobby, giving him the join code*

*he joined and immediately changed his color to red*

*she changed her color to purple. a few other strangers joined and the game started*

*he was a crewmate, but looked at her to see if the glare from her screen was red*

Daph: I…I a woman shoved me into the water. I got stuck at the bottom. She literally watched me almost drown… If the landlord hadn’t been there…I wouldn’t be sitting here right now.

"Oh my gosh..that's terrible.."

Daph: She… never mind.

*she nodded, wanting to give him space to feel comfortable*

"This time, we can go together, or I can just go in your place. whichever one you feel most comfortable with.."

Daph: I can’t let you go alone-

"Do you want to go together then..?"

*he nodded*

"I'll be with you the entire time ok..? I can arrange for some undercover police officers to come as well just in case, okay?"

Daph: okay, that sounds good.

*she reaches up, kissing his chin gently*

*He looked down, smiling. Finally able to see past the guilt that clouded his face and demeanor for so many years before. He actually smiled*

"You have such a beautiful smile..."

Daph: You think so? *he raised an eyebrow*

*she smiled big, nodding* "Yes.. I love it!" *she reached up, kissing him*

Daph: well I think your the most precious thing on this whole planet.

*she blushed, looking up at him* "Really-?"

Daph: Yup. *he smiled warmly*

*she smiled big* "I love you so much-"

*he pulled out a gun, cocked it, then pointed it at the two of them*

*4 undercover police officers sprung into action, tackling and handcuffing the guy*

???: you are NOT gonna get away! I’ll find you!

"Shut the f**k up" *she glared at him as the officers put him in the police car. one of the police officers informed them that he'd be going to jail for around 35 years for his actions including attempted murder, assault, and battery*

*Daph stood by her the entire time, mostly with a “oh my Jesus Christ” look on his face*

"You're safe now sweetheart.. let's go.."

*he abruptly hugged her*

*she hugged him back, rubbing his back with one hand as the other played with his hair. she gently whispered to him,* "It's okay.."

*his 5’3 frame trembled as he hugged her*
Daph: I’m sorry-

"Don't be..." *she was about 4'11 and 3/4 of an inch, she held him close to her body, a glowing warmth flowing through her. her voice was smooth like honey, and her skin like silk*

Daph: She-She said that “I” was one of “them” I don’t- *when his hand brushes yours, you notice his hands are shaking*

"Do you feel safe right now..?" *she gently holds his hand and hugs him, trying to comfort him*

Daph: Yeah… *he gives your hand a little squeeze* Thanks….

*he would notice that she blushed ever so slightly when he squeezed her hand*

"Anytime.. I'm here for you you can tell me anything okay..?" *she smiled softly, looking up at him*

*he smiles*
Daph: Okay.

*she smiled back at him, her smile was warm and caring.* "You wanna get up or just stay here for a bit-?"

Daph: I just… I just wanna sit with you for a minute…. *he pushes up his glasses with his other hand*

*she nods, smiling softly* "Alright.." *she held him close, leaning his head against her chest*

*he smiles, his parents never really cared so this is kinda new for him*

*she gently and lovingly combed through his hair with her fingers, resting her chin on the top of his head. he could feel a comforting warmth flowing through her body. she spoke softly with a smooth, warm tone of voice, saying*

"We can stay here as long as you want sweetheart.."

-he would notice that she had never called him "sweetheart" before-

*he blushed a bit also*

*she smiled, raising her legs a bit, wrapping them around his back*

"You're the best..."

Daph: We’ll uhm… thanks…

*she gently played with his hair, smiling up at him*

*he smiled back and tucked her hair behind her ear*

*she blushed softly, gazing into his eyes*

*he looked down at her, a small smile on his face*

*she reached up to kiss him*

*he bent down a little and kissed her*

*she blushed, kissing him back*

Daph: *his voice is soft* Check this out.... *he looks above your head for a moment then says her birthda, she never even told him*

*she was surprised, blushing a little* "How did you know that?"

"I've already finished work for the day.. how about I make dinner and we watch a movie tonight?"

Daph: That would be great- as long as I can help.

Daph: I dunno, I’m indecisive.

*she smiles* "Hmm... how about [insert his favorite dish]? I have a great recipe for it!"

Daph: *he looks like an excited little kid for a second before looking away and clearing his throat* Yeah, sure.

*she smiles big, taking his hand and leading him to the kitchen ecstatically* "Let's goooo!!"

*she nods, climbing into his lap and resting against him*

*he sighs and gives her a little squeeze*

*he finds comfort in her presence, and he relaxes a lot*

*she smiled, noticing. she laid her head on his chest, listening to his heartbeat happily*

*she just stayed by Daph's side. there were a bunch of undercover officers among the passersby, they were almost undetectable*

*she gently removed his hand from Daph's jacket, stepping between the two of them*

"Well you seemed like such a pleasant person on the phone, I just had to meet you in real life" *she gave him a warm smile*

???: you ain’t supposed to f**kin be here. *he shoved him closer to the river and he gasped*

*she grabbed hold of Daph protectively and moved him away from the river*

???: awww… little boy is scared of the river and his girlfriend is protecting him…. Tell me, was the water murky at the bottom?

"That's enough man stop." *she stood in front of Daph*

???: your adorable. But move.

*her face had hardened into a death stare as she dropped the friendly demeanor*

*she chuckled, repeating herself as she maintained her friendly tone of voice* "I'm not a bitch"

"Anyways, is there anything you needed from Daph today? I can relay the message to him for you-"

"Ok bye ^^" *she quickly hung up, put the phone down, and went to comfort Daph*

*she nods sincerely* "You can tell me anything dear.."

Daph: Well… you might wanna sit down for it.

*she nods, sitting down next to him, laying her head in his lap*

Daph: *he sighs, he rubs his hands when he’s nervous so does this* I can…. I can see these sort of- shadow beings. They are manifestations of people’s doubts I-

*she nods, she looks very understanding, not at all judgemental.*

*she holds his hands gently, her head gently resting in his lap*

*he just stared at her lovingly*

*suddenly, his phone rings*

"Oh- do you need to get that-?"

Daph: I don’t want to- *he obviously didn’t like whoever was calling*

"That's okay, you don't have to dear.." *she noticed his dislike for the person calling*

"Do what's best for you, dear.."

Daph: Would I rather answer and get cussed out, or don’t answer and get my head bashed in. It’s kinda mediocre both ways. *he’s kinda fReNcH so he talks funny sometimes*

"He doesn't sound like a good friend... I know it hurts both ways, but I dont want him to bash your head in for not answering.. that's really dangerous"
