Note: you do not have to read allat if you don't want too
King: Moves 1 square in any direction that isn't a checkmate, usually the main piece so don't let your opponent trap/capture it
Queen: Moves an infinite amount of squares horizontally, vertically and diagonally
1-Point Queen: It's just a queen worth a single point if the "Game of Points" rule is on
Rook: Moves an infinite amount of squares horizontally and vertically. In the rules, it can be reskinned to a Chariot or a Sailboat
Bishop: Moves an infinite amount of squares diagonally.
Knight: Jumps in a 2x1 pattern, don't really know how to properly describe it.
Pawn: Can move 2 squares forwards for it's first move and afterwards only 1 square. Captures 1 square diagonally. Usually can promote to a Knight, Bishop, Rook and Queen (promotion can be changed in the variants though)
Amazon: Acts like a combination of a Queen and Knight (this thing is a freak of nature since a queen is also a combination)
Chancellor: Combination of a Rook and Knight. Can be reskinned to a Seirawan Elephant in the rules
Archbishop: Combination of Bishop and Knight. Can be reskinned into a Hawk
Wildebeest: Acts like a combination of a Knight and a Camel (which is next up)
Camel: A 3-1 elongated Knight. (Also can only be on the same colored square like a bishop)
Grasshopper: Moves like a Queen, but it jumps over the first piece in its way and lands right behind it.
Ferz: Moves and captures 1 square diagonally.
Wazir: Moves and captures 1 square horizontally and vertically.
Alfil: Jumps 2 squares diagonally. Can be reskinned into an Elephant.
Dabbaba: Jumps 2 squares horizontally and vertically.
Alibaba: Combination of the Alfil and the Dabbaba.
Xiangqi Horse: Moves like a Knight, however if there's a piece 1 square away horizontally or vertically, it cannot jump in that direction.
Dragon Bishop: Combination of the Xiangqi Horse and, you guessed it, the Bishop.
The riders (Knight-rider, Camel-rider, Alfil-rider, Dabbaba-rider, Alibaba-rider)cjust act like the original pieces but their moves are infinite
Berolina: Reverse pawn, moves diagonally and captures forwards.
Soldier: Pawn that moves and captures forwards.
Stone General: Pawn that moves and captures diagonally. (Kinda like a checkers piece)
Sergeant: Pawn that moves and captures in any direction forwards.
