not religious beliefs but the moral and ethical rule of law found in both literatures . the constitution was birthed as a result of the moral and ethical teachings found in the Bible. It's not a theocracy, never has been or will . The golden rule should be the basis for all ethical governance.

No it was birthed around rich men giving the then god king the finger when he wouldn’t listen to their complaints and with the lessons from the failed articles of confederation.

The Bible has not been a major influence on the writings given Jefferson was a an avid anti Bible writer. So much he tore out pages that didn’t make sense and re wrote others.
