A little message to the Roleplay stream mods. | Unpopular opinion: I really think yall should start not allowing AI image generation in the roleplay stream, and also not allow images that are stolen (used without credit to the original creator). People who use AI to "create art" aren't artists. They dismiss the work that actually goes into creating art. But the work is everything, how it happens, the effort that is put into it. With that, the people who use generative AI don't have an artistically creative bone in their body or the will to put in the necessary effort. Also, AI image generation is just as bad as stealing images without credit! Generative AI is trained off of artists work that they put out there, and is literally just plagiarism. So, with that, please, do not allow AI-generated images. | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

I'm a mod, personally I disagree, but we can make it so that the image needs to have the AI's watermark.

I'm aware of the training problem, openAI got sued by Shutterstock for it. however, we as a moderately obscure meme generator with social aspects have little say in the way the companies manage their scraping.
best we can do is just ask people to allow others to find the AI.
(also, technically the AI's art is "original" the algorithms used simply look at its training data to figure out what kind of thing you mean, then making its own creation based on that.)
