Not sure about the USA, but in Australia there are a lot of French bakeries and restaurants that have Vietnamese bakers and chefs. They learnt to cook French food and baked goods under French colonialism. There is also some awesome Viet/French fusion foods around.

Yeah, there are a few french cafes here but there are more Mexican restaurants and asian restraunts then there are french
