No, sorry. That's not hitting the poor, that's hitting the lazy:
2Th 3:10 Even while we were with you, we gave you this command: "Those unwilling to work should not get to eat."
Our economy is not in a current healthy condition to have barnacles on the ship.
However, its always been a Christian staple to give to the poor who cannot work:
2Co 9:9 NLT - 9 As the Scriptures say, "They share freely and give generously to the poor. Their good deeds will be remembered forever."
I hope you can now recognize the difference between the two. Everyone knows somebody who is fleecing the system when they are capable of working. I know several of them, even some who go to church to also fleece off of naive Christians. (Many of them are preachers.)
Either way, it should be the churches who give to the poor—not the government.
In fact, I found that the secular government has taken the responsibility of feeding the poor out of the church's hands into their own hands, with the intention of 'helping the poor back on their feet'.
This is a major problem because 1) the church has now become a business, not a charity, and 2) most government jobs are attractive to those who also love to milk the system. Thus, you have myriads of lazy people directing jobs intended to filter out lazy people.

Public transportation works only in jam-packed-smart-cities where everyone works within walking distances. It's certainly not for everyone.
I agree with your military solution, but that cap should apply to every public and even private sector that are necessities. That money needs to feed the coffers so taxes are lowered.
Anyways, what I further said was that the working class is being fleeced and drained in all directions by needless taxes and subsidies, and yet the media (who is also funded by taxpayer dollars) is continually—and tactfully—fracturing the public and redirecting their frustrations against each other, as if Right vs. Left, men vs. women, children vs. parents, traditional vs progressive, black vs. white, straight vs. gay, Christian vs. Muslim etc, etc, is going to make a lick of difference in maintaining a comfortable standard of living for everyone's families. It wont.
BUT it gives the people an equal enemy they can see on a day-to-day basis on whom they can vent their anger upon..
The public schools, movies, TV, radio stations and advertisements are all coordinating this effort. We are all being duped. Im sure you can see this.
