The heat would most likely be more than enough to remove bloodstains as well as fingerprints that much is certain. Realistically though you would be ruining a perfectly functional knife, and if it is already sharpened it is unlikely you can forge it into a different shape while still having a weapon. At that point there are far easier ways to dispose of evidence, but should you want to completely destroy it this is a possibility
