It's not "turning it on" it's the SOS stuff only a lot of people's phones are down across the U.S and stuff. It's a satellite that was hit by smth on fire in space, I don't remember what it was called though. It's just people's service isn't working at all.

And I use Verizon and it's down.

ALSO it's not EVERYONE'S phones that are down. Some people are fine.
