Once, there were three rival human tribes: The Firemouse tribe, the Watergator tribe, and the Leafsaur Tribe. The three tribes each worshipped a separate entity with magical powers, that is Blazent, Croconile, and Brachiocean. At one point, the Firemouse tribe successfully turned a few sacrifices into smaller, weaker version of Blazent. They had discovered how to convert humans to other animals using cultist magic.

Spies relayed information to the other tribes, and soon, armies were being built. When war erupted, there were massive amounts of casualties, so many that all the remaining humans were wiped out. Even after the extinction of normal humans in the area, the converted humans continued fighting, for several generations, until two deciding factors ended the war: 1, The new generations had no memory of humans, and didn't even know what they were fighting for, and 2, The entities that the humans worshipped all those years ago were fed up. They didn't ask for war.

So, in a final battle, on the border of the forest, desert, and sea, all the warriors had engaged in intense combat. However, they were rudely interrupted. The three worshipped entities waited in the center of it all, inside a hastily dug hole. They chased down each army into a different area. Blazent pursued the Leafsaur tribe into the sea, where they would be safe from Blazent's inferno, and became nomads and roam the waters. Croconile hunted the Firemouse tribe into the forest, where they would be spared from Croconile's immense flooding in the trees, and would start a thriving civilization in the conveniently placed giant redwood tree (which is resistant to fire irl btw). Brachiocean forced the Watergator tribe into the desert, where Brachiocean's tangling vines and man-eating plants would dry up, and where they would create a civilization with an emphasis on strength and brutality.

Each of the original entities settled in their new kingdoms, warning everyone not to cross the border, or they would face judgement.
