If that were true, then tell me where the Pals similar to Espeon, Vaporeon, Jolteon and Flareon are.
Lifmunk was likely meant to be simply a leaf squirrel, which in terms of color scheme, the beige worked better than other colors while still fitting into the appearance of a plant type Pal, and simply had a better design with the additional leaves around the neck and base of the tail, and the pair of berries hanging down.
Mau was a dark type Pal likely inspired by Egyptian legend, much like Anubis, and had dark fur to both match the dark typing and contrast well with the pieces of gold on its sleek body.
Melpaca is a neutral type Pal, which usually have designs to make them look sweet and kind consisting of light colors, and pink seemed to contrast better with the white wool, along with blue markings, which seemed to work better than the other way around.
Foxicle as an ice type Pal consists of light blue and green colorings along with elegance, and was inspired by an Arctic fox, in my beliefs partly inspired by Japanese mythology for the multiple tails, and as ice is often associated with diamonds, so they added the dangles as I call them.
Vixy was inspired by a fox, and a fox alone, thus the name Vixy, maybe having a minimal relation to Foxicle due to both being inspired by foxes, and the fact that a lot of young people show favoritism to foxes in terms of animals are likely what inspired the Paldeck entry.
And Cremis, judging by the name, had been inspired by cream of some sort, but has been stated to have fine wool, thus the fluffiness. I think the color scheme came from the idea of clouds, as clouds have always been determined as "fluffy" which I believe was the big idea of Cremis, things that are associated with being fluffy.
