The point of the tax was to ge the pets registered with a vet. If it’s registered with a vet then there’s no tax or fine.

If you don’t a have vet for your cat or dog then what are you gonna do when you need one.

Yeah that’s gonna do a lot of good in an emergency situation or end of life care.
But also it just helps cut down on animal abuse.

This tax forces owners to at least register so they don’t have to potentially suffer with a horrible preventable brain melting illness like rabies…which is a fate I wouldn’t wish anyone.

“I don’t want government telling me I need to take my pet to a vet even if means they’ll suffer.” Is a choice but man is that hell of a weird hill to die on…

Of course they do. They really believe that if the pet hasn’t previously been registered with a vet that there is no care available. It’s just another way to control your actions. It’s not the pet life they are concerned with, it’s your life.
