The mandate for parents and grandparents to teach their children to love and serve God alone is embedded in Scripture. There is not, however, a mandate found anywhere in Scripture that says children are to learn to know and love God inside a classroom, separated from their families, and taught by someone who is not their father or mother.
Again, to no surprise, many of the very same churches (protestants, generally) who claim to faithfully preach and follow Scripture, will deny children their God-given right to be baptized because they claim it is explicitly absent from Scripture, and YET these same churches will religiously adhere to a concept of “schooling” children that IS explicitly absent from Scripture.
Furthermore, Protestants will ridicule the Catholics for religiously adhering to man-made traditions without realizing that Sunday School is a man-made tradition that all of them religiously adhere to.
More so, the Bible says repeatedly and unequivocally, that schooling children in the ways of God is not the church’s responsibility, it is the parents' duty. But, parents are tragically not reading their bibles for themselves, and are therefore unequipped to teach their children. Considering these facts, both the church of business and the church of family is disintegrating. This is our doing folks.
Hos 4:6 KJV - 6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
