that way it doesn't meander bc I've done that b4 and it doesn't go well usually

yea it's a crazy story
It's also more in the dark/horror genre especially starting in book 3 but thats not the norm with my stories until year 11 or 12 (I divide all my stuff in sagas kind of like Marvels phases so that is saga 3)
And then saga 4 is more lighthearted but far more intense and far higher stakes-
