Basically here's what the controls are for

Here's a tip that I've learned while playing [and I know this is gonna sound complicated but just bear with me for a second]: before you jump off the building you're on [Like at the edge of said building], press this button then press the jump button to jump across large gaps between buildings. [Timing this can be really difficult though]

Here's a tip: before you hit the ground [to prevent killing yourself accidentally], press this button. [This won't work for when you're jumping off a high building to get to the next one]

That ones for sliding or (when in air) saving you from dying when you fall (unless you fall too high)
