Kat here:
I'm obviously joking by this, but the law of conservation of mass and matter says that matter cannot be created nor destroyed, and the big bang happened 14.4 billion years ago. If that is the case, then each individual atom that makes up all of us is 14.4 billion years old, leading up to us being 14.4 billion years old. My friend here says that it is not the case because it is based off of our mental age, aka when we start our consciousness. Now if consciousness is powered by the brain, then our brain is 14.4 billion years old, and that means that our consciousness started 14.4 billion years ago, but if consciousness powers the brain, then that makes our consciousness start the moment we wake up.
Ok, Kat out.
