Sex can refer to two (2) things. Sex can be your assigned biological gender. Individuals with XX chromosomes which causes them to have male reproductive systems are assigned male at birth (AMAB), while individuals with XY chromosomes which causes them to have female reproductive systems are assigned female at birth (AFAB).
Sex can also refer to sexual intercourse, an act where a p**is goes inside of a va**na and some movement happens until the male ejaculates inside of the female.
From there, the sperm travels through the cervix and into the uterus.
If an egg is present, typically released from the woman's ovary during ovulation, and if it is fertilized by a sperm, pregnancy can occur.
The fertilization process happens when a sperm penetrates and enters the egg, combining their genetic material. This forms a zygote, which is the initial stage of a developing embryo. The fertilized egg then implants itself into the lining of the uterus, where it continues to grow and develop.
It's important to note that pregnancy can only occur if sperm is present during the woman's fertile window, which is the time around ovulation when the egg is released. The exact timing of ovulation can vary from woman to woman, but it often occurs around the middle of the menstrual cycle.
