Alain backs up nervously. “H-ha hi.”
Ned rolls his eyes. “You’re gonna give our location away, idiot,” he scolds as he smacks the screen.
The monitor turns off, leaving Ned a bit confused, but then a laser fires at his feet, making him jump. A speaker turns on. “You can’t kill me.”
Ned fumes and there is a bit of a back-and-forth between the A.I. and him. Eventually, everything settles and the group continues under the watchful eye of Pixelsensei.
After a while, they make out a figure. As they get closer, they realize it’s actually two people, and they slow down. When they finally get a clear image of what’s going on, they hide. Because what they see is a bloodbath.

The creature grabs both of the man’s arms. There is a slight pause. Then a horrifying yelp. The man’s arms are pouring blood, which pools at the ground. The creature twists its wrists, snapping the man’s arms.
Then it grabs his neck, lifting him up into the air. A wide, sadistic grin crosses the beast’s face. A sharp spine that the group couldn’t see earlier pierces the man’s neck. Then he is tossed aside like a ragdoll.
Then to the horror of our main group, the lizard thing looks in their direction.
It knew where they were.
