fays journey chapter 4: watered

Zevver was collecting wood to build any kind of shelter he could
His jacket was torn and he was bleeding from being pushed away by the flood, but he quickly healed himself
Zevver: god how am I gonna get off this planet if I can’t send a beacon
*zevver spotted a small device*
Zevver: oh well there it is
*he picked up the distress beacon and activated it*
Behind zevver ancient gears started to turn for the first Time in centuries, an ancient construct forgotten by history awoke from the beacons signal
Zevver: alright now i should try to make it to the city nearby but—
he was rudely interrupted by a heavy smack to he back
Zevver: what the f**k was that?!
He turned around seeing the mud covered construct towering behind him

Fay was Standing at the templ from earlier looking at the figure from before
Fay: who are you, and where is this?
???: my name is kahe and this is a waterflow temple, one of many in the universe, these temples are used by people like me to learn the abilities of water
Fay: so would water magic be in there
Kahe: yes of course!
she turned to look at the main building of the temple where barely a trickle of water came out
Kahe: the ancient followers of water set up temples all across the universe, however this one isn’t used anymore… probably because the inhabitants of this planet don’t do well with water, it’s toxic to them
Fay: you mean the inklings right
Kahe: yeah
Fay so about this water magic, you said there’s temples like this still used today?
Kahe: yes there’s one on my home planet…however I just took some public transport here so if you have a spaceship that would be a big help
Fay: well you’re in luck
Kahe: what are you waiting for let’s go!

Zevver was in battle with the ancient construct
Zevver: this thing’s probably worth a lot
*he dodged an large arm slam
Zevver: it’s just how can I kill this thing, first of alll it’s not alive, and I should probably keep it intact so I can get some money
*zevver slid under the construct seeing a large amount of wires and gears*
Zevver: that’s it! I can deactivate this thing!
Zevver’s finger fell off, and a new one grew in its place, a spiderlike creature was born from the severed finger and crawled into the construct
Zevver: alright now find the power wire
The spider was right next to the core of the construct at a reddish wire
*it snipped the wire*
Immediately the construct fell over
Zevver: YES!!

Fay and kahe are standing in front of Fays spaceship, the purple and orange paint shining in the light
Kahe: so is this yours, the paints nice
Fay: yeah, thanks
*the two enter the ships main cabin where the ships main bed and storage is, two doors are on both sides of the main cabin one leading to the cockpit and another to the bathroom*
Kahe: Fay, what’s this *she points to a bag*
Fay: oh that’s some stuff I bought at the market
Kahe: what’d you buy?
Fay: some clothes and food…and also a new battery charger to install on this ship
Kahe: do you mind if I put my stuff down and then go put the coordinates in the ship
Fay: not at all
*kahe left to the cockpit*
Fay sat down on the bed, remembering the phrase she had been told many times. “Go where your mind tells you”.

Zevver walked into the nearby market where people saw as he walked out of the forest scraped and hurt
A local police officer went up to him
Officer: sir what happened?
Zevver: I was in the woods and I sent a beacon to some of my associates to pick me up but it somehow activated an ancient construct, I was able to deactivate it though
Officer: where was this in the forest, that construct is probably worth a lot if recovered
Zevver: near where the river ends
*the officer said something to his crew through a mic*
Officer: ok sir you are good to go…and take this
*he held out some local currency*
Zevver: why are you giving me money now?
Officer: it’s for finding that construct
Zevver: ahh, have a good day officer
*he left and walked to a nearby clothes store*
Zevver talked with the owner of the store and was able to buy a newer, nicer coat, pants, a shirt and, some shoes
Zevver: thanks
*he heard a beeping*
Zevver checked his beacon to see that the pickup ship had arrived for him
Zevver: perfect

Zevver walked at the spaceport past a purple and orange ship to a large dark one
Outside of it were two guards
Guard 1: where have you been, we’ve waited forever!
Zevver: I was buying these new clothes, my old ones were ripped to shreds
Guard 2: and what about the target
Zevver: she escaped…*he looks around seeing Fay swapping her ships battery*
Zevver:…never mind they’re in that ship, put a tracker on it right now!
The guard chucked a magnetic device on the ship
Zevver: alright let’s go

Fay and kahe were in the ship as it was lifting off
Fay: thanks for saving me back there, I owe you
Kahe: it’s good you don’t need to do anything
Fay: really?
Kahe: yeah, I mean it
Fay: so what’s your home planet like
Kahe: well the scenery is so nice they say you can’t put it into words
