Sure, but why is Holly(gay)wood, talking only about it? It's not like any gay couples were depicted as real, imperfect people, with flaws in the last 14 years, in movies or tv shows. They're always flawless and no evil bad-guy can be gay.
Example: The writer of Dune was anti-gay. so he wrote Baron Harkonnen as a rabid s*xmaniac, who wanted to f*ck his own nephew. But is that in the new movies? Heeeeell Nooooo! Hollywood can't show gays as evil, that would be ... homophobic!
