FNAF 2 is set in 1987, and FNAF 1 is set in 1993.

William Afton murdered the five kids (aka the original MCI kids) and put them in the withered animatronics in 1985, two years before FNAF 2 takes place. That pizzeria was shut down and then reopened during the events of FNAF 2 with the toys. William killed even more children and they possessed the toys until the closing of that restaurant at the end of the game. The children possessing the toys were set free but the other children decided to stick around after William was springlocked, iirc some of the parts from the withereds were used to make the classics.

The withereds are the original suits from fredbears that are then repaired into the Fnaf 1animatronics

No the withered are the ones the kids were stuffed in then they were left to rot after the crime then the toys came along but their security system was malfunctioning so they were destroyed then they found the withered were found and then they were fixed then fnaf 1 happened and afton came to collect their remnant and he destroyed them then the spirits went to get revenge and they got him into his spring bonnie suit and he was springlocked and the spirits left

Think of it based off what we know so far, the withered animatronics got a completely different endoskeleton, like springtrap, the toys, might not even have an actual endo for being taken out.
The mangle however proved that parts from other endos has been connected, to create one big monster.

But the thing is too that a lot is happening in the games timejumps.

withereds were the original originals. the originals from fnaf 1 are remade withereds.

the withereds are the ones from fredbear and friends diner, with fnaf 2 golden freddy being fredbear, and the spring bonnie suit stolen by afton. the fnaf 1 animotronics are refurbished versions of the fnaf 2 withereds.
