The Constant gripped the massive orb with his hands. The energy surged through his body, unimaginable pain was all he felt. He felt his bones cracking. His eyes pulsed, his vision became blurry, his body began ripping itself apart.
Darkness.
He woke up in a small room, it had clean, woodem floorboards, giving the sense of a fancy hotel. There were bookshelves, every book displaying an unintelligable language. A warm lamp lit the room.
He slowly got to his feet. A voice suddenly came from across the room.
"Hero Ishiki. It's been a long time."
The Constant looked at the figure. He was unrecognizable. He stood tall and broad, wth a fancy suit. His body was made of pure light. He gave off an aura of hopelessness. "W...Who are you..?" His breath was shaky, full of shock.
"Why, I created you. I created everything." He chuckled. "Everything I've been doing has led up to this. You know, you're the first Constant to make it here. Then again, you're the only Constant able to."
The Constant walked up to the figure, his eyes darting around the room. He noticed a chess board. The pieces...he recognized them. The spider, the oddity, the shy kid, the knight...all of them he'd seen before. All of the pieces where cracked, destroyed. All except the 2 pieces. The piece that looked like him, and the other, the man in front of him.
"It's been a really fun game, you know. I will enjoy ending it."
The Constant approached the man, who gazed out of a window. Outside, was the Singularity. It was folding in on itself.
"You know, you really messed it up this time." The man chuckled. "No comin back from this, this is the last loop."
"...Loop..?"
"Oh, you don't know..this has happened before. You ever get that sense of deja vu? That's me."
"How many times has this happened?"
"Mmm, even I don't remember." He chuckled. "But, it's a funny thing. I've been working up to this for so long, and even I don't know what's supposed to happen."
