Chapter 1: Twice Upon Times
Once upon a time, there were two races...
Inklings and Octolings.
A Great War broke out between the two races.
In the end, the Inklings triumphed, and sealed the Octolings underground.
Mount Ebott, 21XX
A group of Octolings who worked for DJ Octavio, who were in search of resources were mining underneath the mountains,
When they suddenly burst into a cavern.
This was no ordinary cavern however...
There was snow falling...
As they were exploring, they encountered a strange being... a monster.
They did not understand one another, but they managed to communicate with each other.
The Octolings went to tell their rulers, and the monsters the same.
They began to make peace and learn each others languages, they even learned each others histories.
Years went by, their societies integrated into one, towns became cities, and the king even found a new wife among the Octolings.
DJ Octavio took advantage of the unsuspecting monsters and began conquering land and gaining power.
The Royal Guard tried to retaliate, but he was already too powerful.
Eventually, the King, Asgore, had to stand up for his kingdom. There was a great and intense battle, but the King managed to overpower Octavio and had him pinned to the ground.
The King, being of kind-hearted nature, offered Octavio mercy.
"You... do not deserve death. You must pay for your crimes, however... you can still be a good person."
The words of the king, they affected the DJ.
He felt his heart changing...
But the King was suddenly impaled through the heart...
Octavio stood and wondered what had just happened.
Asgores soul shattered as he faded to dust... and when the dust cleared... a small flower sat before him.
"Howdy! We're going to have so much fun together..."
