Digimon is about kids partnering with digital monsters that live in the net to save both the human and the digital world. Pokemon is about a lucky boy with a rat (A damn good rat) who's only goal is to become a Pokemon master, something that doesn't exist. Heck, even after becoming the strongest, he STILL thinks that he isn't a PM. He only fights crime around him, and Team Rocket isn't even good at his job.

Hold up, the "Rocket" you are mentioning isn't the actual Team Rocket, you only explained the anime, instead you should go to the lore, it is so large that your "Digimon" only just says "So these children waltzed into the internet and saves cyber viruses and had blobs as pets that morphed into a stove with guns".

Plus the "lucky boy" defeated a man-made creature, befriended several mythical legends, helped creatures affiliated with GOD in the Pokemon Universe. Yet you just gather evidence from nothing except the internet, could have watched the anime.

Watched every episode. While he DID gain the trust of legendaries, he is no real hero, and a lot of the movies aren't canon. Ash just battles for fun, traveling around eight different regions with bandits hunting him when they could just stay in Kanto and steal from there. In Digimon, children are specifically brought in from the human world to fight whatever evil plagues the Digital World. They save lives, an entire planet, and never run from a fight. Heck, we had Mega Evolution before it was cool! Digimon can evolve and revert back to their Rookie Stages when they Digivolve, so if you don't like a form, you don't have to stay in it just because it's strong. With Pokemon (Not including Megas,) you stay in one form and evolve with levels, items, certain weather, day and night cycles, trading, and friendship levels. In Digimon, you Digivolve your partner with the power of your bond alone. And you don't just save one world, but two.
