I just recently heard that this game exists, and I'm already excited

Yeah I'm really liking it. While a couple references and word choices are a nod to Undertale and Deltarune, as well as the difficulty clearly being geared towards ppl who played those games, I feel like this could very well be a standalone game

I'm not joking, GameJolt literally crashed because so many people were downloading this game
