Polygamy is different from polyamory and there are some pretty good reasons behind the outlaw of polygamy in the US (yes I am poly myself also polygamy is legal in a few states and over seas)

Yeah but in the country I live getting married as a polyamorous is banned :') And I dont understand why honestly if everybody gives consent

You can marry one partner and still be poly though it may cause jealousy but if you marry all of them it becomes polygamy and like I said there are many good reasons for its outlaw

Idk where you live but here in the US when you're married you get certain benefits most of which involve money and if you were in a polygamous marriage those benefits would be far greater for you and due to the amount of polyamorous people if they all got married it could throw off the whole economy (it also makes it easier to perform fraud)

Those two are the big ones

Oh idk if its the same in our country🤷
