I wasn't being mean, or at least I did not intend to be mean. I'm certainly not making fun of you.
I just don't subscribe to the modern nonsense of children adopting such radical terms about themselves when their journey of self-discovery hasn't even begun yet.
It's perfectly fine to question one's preferences and so forth. As long as it's done in a serious way rather than merely to follow trends or because it's the cool thing to do or whatever.
