the max height they can reach is about the size of a kid. their small build makes them weak if they were to fight a predator. they slowly learned how to mate by observing other animals..then learned how to talk by wondering near neighborhoods out of the area targeted for them, there was slowly more and more appearing until the area was overpopulated with toasines which scientists were wondering how until they found out toasines learned from other animals and such.
So they sent out predators to kill the toasines, once toasines weren't overpopulated, hunters went after them making them even more vaulable, after a long time there was only a few left in the wild, getting killed off by hunters and predators, they would be taxidermied or sold as fancy pets despite their hostility.
