Chapter 4: a reunion

Darkness. thats the only thing Matt saw. he couldn't see, move, but he can hear screaming. screaming of the ones he called his friends. there was no time to waste, he tried to move, tried to yell back, try to do anything in his power, and yet... nothing. then he heard more screaming, but closer...
Ares: ...WAKE THE HELL UP!
this jolted Matt awake from his slumber, he finds himself chained into a table in a empty room.
Matt: ...really? chains? I can break out any ti-
Matt tries to uses Are's armor but nothing happens.
Matt:...hey Ares?
Ares: Yeah?
Matt: what did they do to me?
Ares: Ah well you see, when you were knocked out, they used this drug on you which made you a lot weaker and numb. and you already know how tired you are after using the armor
Then, a sound was heard. Matt looks up to see a man with an formal suit and a badge.
???: so you're the anomaly
Matt: My name is Matt Kingsman, but yeah.

???: ah yes. that will explain the girl's ramblings. She's been wondering about you nonstop, even trying to break out.
Matt: What did you do to her?
???: we simply drugged her again. she's knocked out good. don't worry, we haven't done anything else yet
This angers Matt, but knowing that if he does something drastic, the agents might do the same to Violet.
???: I see you've been trained well. that's surprising for the vessel of Ares
Matt: ...wait what? How did you-
???: We checked your status while you were knocked out and found out you had a godlike energy slowly leaking out of your body. It was then we found out you're used to seal away the God of War himself. This will explain your inhuman strength.
Matt: so what do you want with me, and more importantly, who are you people?
???: Oh where are my manners? I'm Jowl. The head of the government. at least this side. Our mission is to protect everyone from loose cannons like you

Matt: Loose cannons? You're talking about Ares, right?
Jowl smirks and takes out a clipboard and pen
Jowl: so you're on a first name basis with the god of war? I see... but not just him, we're also talking about your little girlfriend.
Matt: We're not in a relationship. I'm her boss
Jowl: oh so you're a boss of a criminal organization?
He writes this down, as Matt tries to think of a plan in his head
Matt: (Lets see... Ares, anything?)
Ares: well I can't break out of here with brute force, and I hate to admit it but... we're powerless. our only hope seems to be counting on Spark
Matt: (yeah but what can he do with all the limited supplies...)
Suddenly, a blond hair woman, wearing the exact same outfit as Jowl walks into the room
???: Jowl I'll take it from here.
Jowl: Huh? Who are you
???: My name is Eren Matthews. Please excuse my arrival but I was told to interview the anomaly.
Jowl: on whose orders?
Eren: are you really going to argue with authority?
This makes Jowl leave. taking the clipboard with him. as the door closes, Eren quickly takes off her outfit, revealing her white sweater and jeans. she then points at the camera with a gun shape as a blast of energy fires from it.

Eren: Alright Matt, we got 5 minutes before the government finds out what I did, now lets go
Matt: wha- how did you find us?
He doesn't get an answer as Eren is too busy breaking the chains around Matt
Eren: can you walk?
Matt: yeah I think I-
He immediately falls on the floor as Eren laughs as him
Eren: Heh. I can't believe I take orders from you
She picks him up and carries him out of the room, making sure no one spots them
Matt: Wait what about Spark and Violet?
Eren: Oh Mercury's got them... not sure where they are-
Then there's a huge explosion as the alarms get turned on.
Eren: oh there she is. We should go now
She starts to run away from the source of the explosion as a blue haired girl carrying Violet follows, Spark keeping up
Spark: Sis! I knew you wouldn't leave us!
He hugs Mercury, who says nothing in response, her face emotionless.
Matt: I will never understand what you see in her
Eren: I guess I just got better taste in woman.
The agents try to fire at the group, but Mercury uses her ability to create a crystal wall to protect them from the bullets.

Eren: Thanks hon!
Mercury nods as Spark opens a door for them, then all head inside and barricade the door
Matt: jesus christ... Guess the bands all together again. Hows Violet?
Spark: She's out cold but she's living.
Matt: good. Lets see... this room could be a safe haven for us right no- give me a second
He proceeds to punch a camera that was spying on there
Matt: okay now this place is safe. Lets see what can we use here...
Everyone looks around. Spark then notices a vent in the top of the ceiling
Spark: matt! we can use this!
He turns back to see Matt getting ready to head back through the door
Spark: matt?
Matt: trust me on this, I have an idea
