Not that it's lesser evil, oh no, but I wanna say that running from the media to blindly believe another source is also a dumb move.

Get the best from every source, and don't forget that people tend to "evilise" their enemies.

The media has told us some of the biggest lies in history. Vietnam war, Iraq war, COVID origin cover up. Many thousands of people in the media and politics should have been locked up, but they all got away with it. Some US presidents even got 2 terms after all they did.
Meanwhile the Doomsday Clock is edging ever closer to the end and the media will be representing them right up to that moment.

I for one would not believe a word said about global affairs.
