There are two ways to look at the inevitability of death
One, “if I am to die no matter what, then what do I live for”, is the more depressed route, although valid in its own way
Another “if I am to die no matter what, why not make life as enjoyable as possible before I do” is the more optimistic version, and the necessary one to healthily cope with death
In the end, they are two sides of the same coin, but vastly different
