The dark, snowy road was illuminated by a car, passing by
It was the night of December 25th, in a normal quiet neighborhood. Families slept, having finished their holiday celebrations
One child didn’t sleep
He was clutching a pillow and crying
His parents had left a day ago for Stickmania on a business meeting. They promised they would be back on the 25th. But they hadn’t accounted for the Inkperials
When he was done crying, he felt hatred for the Inkperials, for everyone who had wronged him
As he thought about it he realized everyone was to blame
The Inkperials for obvious reasons
The Resistances for not trying harder
All the Gods who just stood by and watched the slaughter
They all deserved to die. Not his parents
He fell into a deep sleep, tired from crying
Darkness surrounded him and a woman stepped out of it
She was pale, with a long dark dress
“Child, listen now, and listen close” she said
“I am the Goddess Nyght, and I have been trapped since I was created in a void. For centuries I have searched for a worthy vessel to hold my soul, and I have chosen you”
“How would you give me your soul?” He asked
“First I would transfer my power to see if your body can hold it, then I would transfer my consciousness. Finally I would transfer my soul. Your body would replace mine in the void after that. I promise I will return for your soul with a vessel. You can be my assistant.”
The child thought
“I accept your soul”
The child felt power, so powerful and potent he felt he might burst from it, but he stayed intact. Then the consciousness entered. Instantly the child realized that the Goddess had lied. She would not return for him
He broke the connection
“LIAR” he bellowed
She said nothing. Her body fell to the ground, lifeless
The child left the void but only saw darkness
Anger surged in him, his eyes started to glow
They burned through a dark liquid that was covering him
The darkness spread and covered his neighborhood in a dome
The Child burst through the roof and attempted to fly through the dark dome but found he was trapped
“This won’t hold me for long.” He vowed
A voice whispered in his mind
“You’ll be surprised…”
