In this ending cassie attempts to hide from the mimic behind a cardboard cutout, seeing gregory, vanessa, and helpie. The first clue that this is just a trick is that helpie is there, and he does not exist in the real world. But if you look at gregory and vanessa, you will notice that gregory has the same semi transparent affect as helpie, but vanessa does not. this leads me to believe that gregory is just an AI, similar to helpie. perhaps he is even a variation of the mimic AI, like eclipse.
