Ivory: *silently watches*

Clear Sky nodded. "Alright, follow me." He turned and started walking back the way he came.

Ivory: *nods* Kay. *she follows him*

He kept walking, limping slightly from a large, half-healed gash on his leg.

Ivory: *trots beside him, inclining her head at the wound* What happened?

"Badger," he rasped. "Followed a rabbit into a tunnel and ran directly into it."
He shrugged and kept walking.
"Showed that beast a lesson."

Ivory: I bet you did. But why haven't you gone to the medicine cat?

"I have. Cloud Spots tried to heal me, but badger wounds are hard to recover from."
[i think it's Cloud Spots I could be wrong with who was in Tall Shadow's camp-]

Ivory: Ah. Well has Cloud Spots tried marigold poultice and wrap it up in cobwebs?

"Hm. I'm not sure. I'll have to ask him when we return home."

Ivory: Well you'd better cause that wound is getting infected. I can smell it already.

Clear Sky's claws dug into the ground and his hackles raised. "He's a traitor. He sided with One Eye and made me retreat to Gray Wing's camp, but no one believes me. He helped Jagged Peak save my son and now everyone thinks he's a hero. But he's a traitor."

Ivory: Hm.. Well I may have seen him with a golden-furred she-cat...

"Star Flower! I don't trust her either. She and Raccoon's Mark must be conspiring." He tore grass from the dirt and growled.

Ivory: Oh... If they were then why'd Raccoon's Mark stalk One Eye?

He looked up and tilted his head. "He was...stalking One Eye?"

Ivory: Mhm. I was watchin' him.

"Oh. Well, I'll talk to him when I return to camp.

Ivory: *nods*

"Would you like to come back to camp with me? I would invite you to my camp in the forest, but as I said earlier, One Eye has taken over."

Ivory: Sure, I'd love to. *she gives a toothy grin*

His [the rogue's] ears go up and he turns to see a golden she-cat padding towards him. He purrs and touches noses with her, forgetting about stalking One Eye.

Ivory: *to herself* Hm...

The scent of different cats suddenly floods Ivory's nose, coming from the left. The two rogues apparently scent them two because they break away from each other and disappear, the tom running towards Tall Shadow's camp in the moor.

Ivory: *stays where she is*

Gray Wing and Thunder pad up to Ivory and bow their heads. "Ivory, I hope you and the rest of the cats in your camp are doing well."

Ivory: *bows her head as well* Same for yours.

"Is River Ripple in his camp? We have something to ask him." Clear Sky nodded his head.

Ivory: *nods back* He might be.

"Alright." Thunder stepped past her into the camp, leaving Clear Sky behind. The older tom cleared his throat. "I have something to ask you. Have you seen a large tom with dark gray fur and raccoon-like rings on his tail and around his eyes?"
[which would be the rogue in the prompt photo]

Ivory: I may have, why?

"It is?"
He paused and turned to sniff at his wound.

Ivory: *nods her head* Yeah.

(I don't know too much about DotC so you're gonna have to carry my zero brain cell-having tail through this lol. Also it's me, the pleb who played Pebblenose lol)

Weasel Spots: *The cat kept a distance, crouched low and watching curiously. Their eyes narrowed with a touch of suspicion*

He nodded and kept walking. When they made it to Tall Shadow's camp, Clear Sky padded in with claws extended.
The rogue who Weasel Spots had seen on the moor padded up to Clear Sky and purred roughly.
"Clear Sky! You're back from River Ripple's island already!"
Clear Sky snarled and swiped at Raccoon's Mark's muzzle.
"Traior!" he yowled. "I can smell Star Flower's and One Eye's scent on you!"

(Thank you! Yeah, This could be sick as a sort of fan story.)

*Weasel Spots stepped back from the confrontation, head tilted slightly.*

"You really thought no cat would notice you here?"

*They mewed Raccoon calmly, a sharp edge of authority in their tone*

The red-eared tom stepped back and touched a paw to his muzzle, wincing as it came back bloody.
"What have I done to you, Clear Sky?" he asked innocently, ignoring Weasel Spots.
Clear Sky arched his back and hissed, fur fluffed out to appear intimidating.
"Don't act like you're innocent. Just because you saved Thunder doesn't mean you're a hero! You helped that bloodthirsty rogue take over my camp!"

*Weasel Spots sat back, tail curling over their paws. They raised a brow at the red flecked tom.*

(Weasel is definitely not as expressive as Pebblenose. That's for sure.)

*Their eyes narrowed*

He looked over at them with sad eyes.
"I would never betray Clear Sky. He saved my and my brother's life. One Eye has my brother hostage. I-It seems like I betrayed Clear Sky but I'm just trying to ensure that he lives..."

almost like how Jayfeather was able to go back in time as Jay Wing and direct the cats to the mountains but not. Briarhook has a late brother in Shadowclan called RaccoonMask :> while Raccoon's Mark's brother is named Briar and will eventually join River Ripple and receive the name Briar Grasp]

*They tipped their head, brows raising a bit*

"Hm."

*They looked warily to Clear Sky. This was his issue with one of his cats. His say.*

"Well?"

"I'm sure we'll see you and River Ripple at the Fourtrees meeting tonight. Stay safe on your way home," Clear Sky said, dipping his head. Raccoon's Mark turned after respectfully nodding to Weasel Spots and padded away.

"You will."

*They nodded to the toms.*

"And you too."

*Weasel Spots' pace quickened to a trot as they made their return to River Ripple's camp.*

As they returned to their camp, they passed Thunder as he exited. The golden tom nodded at them as he passed.

(*Polite nudge*)

*They dipped their head respectfully to Thunder.*

"Safe home."

*They parted.*

He nodded respectfully and kept walking.

The scent of different cats flooded Weasel Spots' nose. The two in the moor apparently scented it too as they broke apart, the tom running toward Tall Shadow's moor camp and the she-cat in the opposite direction.

*Weasel huffed as the pair skittered off. They lifted their head*

"Who's there?"

*They whispered*

Clear Sky and Thunder padded up over the hill and stopped in front of Weasel. Thunder stepped forward and bowed his head. "Weasel Spots, hello. Is River Ripple in camp still?'

*The cat properly got to their paws*

"I believe so. Why?"

"I have something I need to ask him." Thunder trotted past them and to the island where River Ripple's camp was set up. Clear Sky stayed behind and looked out at the moor where Weasel saw the two rogues.
"I have something to ask you," he rasped. "Have you seen a large tom with dark gray fur and raccoon-like rings on his tail and around his eyes?"

"Dak gray tom... I think so."

*Their eyes trailed off to where the tom had been a moment ago*

Clear Sky's claws dug into the ground and his hackles raised.
"He's a traitor. He sided with One Eye and made me retreat to Gray Wing's camp, but no one believes me. He helped Jagged Peak save Thunder and now everyone thinks he's a hero. But he's a traitor," the tom snarled.

"I see. I certainly saw a suspicious cat come by. I could lead you where he went if you'd like."

*They tipped their head*

"He headed towards Tall Shadow's camp. Let's go."

"Thank you," he said, dipping his head in gratitude. He followed after Weasel Spots, limping slightly from a half-healed gash on his hind leg.

*They glanced back at the injury, flat expression unchanging*

"Are you alright there? What was it this time you got yourself into?"

"Badger," he rasped. "Followed a rabbit into a tunnel and ran directly into it."

*Weasel nodded firmly*

"I have no doubt you did. Make sure you keep it clean."

Clear Sky nodded.
"How close are we to Tall Shadow's camp?"

"Wonderful question. We should be close, though. Why risk running all that way over something that very well could've been nothing? I doubt a cat would waste energy on that if their destination weren't at least close."

*Weasel shrugged*

"Raccoon's Mark lives in Tall Shadow's camp, so if he came this way he's probably saving more kits," he snarled sarcastically.

*They gave a little sniff of response*

Clear Sky was studying Raccoon's Mark's face, hackles slowly falling.

"He's being genuine. I can't detect a single trace of untruth in his words," he said, almost in disbelief.

"So? We leave him?"

*They turned their black gaze back to Raccoon's Mark.*

Clear Sky turned to Weasel Spots

"I suppose we make a plan to destroy One Eye and his rogues."

*That got a little smirk out of them.*

"I like that plan."

"Of course, it needs to be much more thought out. And I need to get the other leaders to help me," he said, starting to pace around. "And my cats will need to strengthen up, which means more hunting patrols.."

"Should I inform River Ripple of the plan once I'm back?"

"Yes please. I'll go out soon and inform Wind Runner of my plan."

"Sounds good to me."

*They nodded to the two toms.*

"Good luck, both of you. I'm sorry for the trouble we've caused."

*Weasel Spots dipped their head to Raccoon's Mark.*

"Clear Sky, I doubt it concerns me, but what was it you and Thunder went to see River Ripple for? I've been curious."

"We were going to go ask him to meet to discuss plans, so this works out perfectly. I'm sure Thunder will be back soon with River Ripple."

"I see. Then in that case I suppose I have no reason to hang around. Besides, I have no doubt Tall Shadow doesn't want random cats loitering in her camp."

*There was almost a hint of humor to the remark, cutting through Weasel Spots' flat tone.*
