3: come by several 100 years. Monopolis' population was still growing slowly and steadily. The 7 original founders and most of the first generation had passed away. The original settlement of the objects had just reached a million and was growing strong (we'll refer to them as the originals). And they began to branch out further, with some of those settlements becoming independent as well, but much larger than Monopolis. (This time period is 250 years after the first objects. (Imagine something like the Mesopotamians)
The people of Monopolis were very isolated. They lived in what you would know as Northern California. The

The other settlements and Originals had taken much of Northern Mexico and Eastern United States. It was a complete mystery what happened to the 20 people who set out one day in the third year of existence, and never came back. The current year in the object calendar was 500, Nothing much happened for centuries before until first contact with Monopolis
They had just reached a population of 250K. but every other civilization had a combined population of 100M.

I kinda wanna ramble about my show's lore because I'm bored and I should probably be asleep

1: So humanity and several other creatures are wiped out by Yellowstone farting (aka completely annihilating Yellowstone national park and putting ash in the air, which stirs up a deadly famine and vegetation loss) and then over the course of 20 millenia new species evolve to replace those that died out in the Yellowstone mass extinction, but nothing arose to replace humanity, yet. In a room with assorted inanimate objects the mystery substance leaking in slowly for centuries did some weird ass shit and brought the objects to life. They attempted to repear the decay to their bodies and examined their surroundings, They were in once was a city left to rot by humanity's extinction. Years passed and the population began growing in theor early civilization. Some objects went to colonize elsewhere while most stayed behind. For 3 days straight a group of 20 individuals walked through harsh weather and terrain. Leaving 7 survivors. They couldn't go back.

2: The 7 that remained were nearly 40 miles away. They founded early Monopolis (name from Greek roots Mono [single, one] and polis [city]) the very tiny population grew slowly at first, but soon went into the hundreds. How were the people that stayed behind? Almost into the hundred thousands.
