Fays journey chapter one :the radiant dunes

*fay woke up and went to her ships cockpit*
*she turned off autopilot*
In front of Fays ship was the desert planet of daliquia a place home to many scavengers, high energy minerals, and most importantly sand people who used a unique type of magic drawing from the power of the minerals in the planet. This radiant magic is what Fay came here for, a secret and powerful type of magic only known by few outside the sand dwellers.
*fay landed the ship in the local space port*
*a small humanoid with a metal helmet looked up at Fay*
Portworker: hi there and welcome to daliquia, I’m teblitt and if you need a ride around the dunes, I can do that too
Fay: do you know how to get to the sand people?
Teblitt: oh…uhh…you see most people don’t really go see them intentionally. You see their fine with most of the scavengers and locals like me they just don’t get along well with people from off planet.
Fay: why?

*fay and teblitt walked through the small market at the port*
Fay: man they got some interesting stuff here
Teblitt: don’t buy the juicebulb fruits, they aren’t fresh their shipped here, but the sand dragon scales are very good and durable
Fay: how much further to your boat
Teblitt: just a little bit more

As Fay and teblitt walked to the sandboat launch people around the small port were as active as ever
An old ship’s captain telling young children about the time he fought a guy with a big hammer on a moon
An inkperial soldier asking a scrapper the whereabouts of some robots
Shopkeepers selling things only for the one across from them to sell more
Teblitt: so…uh fay, why do you wanna meet with the sand people
Fay: I’ve been getting these dreams lately, telling me to help in the fight, and I thought learning magic would help me. You do know about the inkperials right?
Teblitt: yeah we just passed one, also they have a large mine here.
*The guy at the entry of the sandport scanned teblitts sandboat liscense*
Port manager : ay tebby what you doin today bud
Teblitt: just ferrying someone
Port manager: well if it don’t take ya too long you wanna go get som food afta?
Teblitt: sure I will.
*fay and teblitt got on the sandboat*

Teblitt: so to give you some history on the sand people, or as they call themselves the sandaliq’s they were many of the natives here although they appear to look like skeletons now due to their method of preserving themselves, and by the way they are alive their just made of sand and a soul now really. The sandaliq’s are very fond of gold and iridium crystals which they draw their magic from and will always try to buy it from others
That’s why they have a good relationship with locals who happily sell it to them and not the off-worlders who mine it for themselves.

Well here’s your stop
*fay is dropped off in front of a massive temple made of two giant towers*

*fay walked to the step of the temple where a creature with a large wooden horn was*
Fay:…hello?
???: el-o visitor
Do you havv bisness with the leeder or no
The creature said in an odd voice
Fay: yes I do
???: verry whell, this waey

The leader of the sand people stands before Fay wearing a tattered robe and an ornate mask with gold ornamentation
Leader: what is your business, state it
Fay : I’ve come hoping to learn radiant magic
Leader: nobody has come to learn outside of our tribe for years. And those who have have given up
Fay : well I’m different, I have an ability to learn any magic by coming near it
Leader: really… then blast that rock over there
*fay blasts the rock with a light green beam*
Leader: so… it is true…
If you really want to learn. Go with my people to the off-worlders mines. Bring proof that they have fled and we will teach you
Fay: ok I will
Leader: excellent. We leave tomorrow

Fay and the sand people were on some sort of sled towed by a seal
Fay was with two of them: the one from earlier with a wooden horn named root and one with some red dust on its head named rust
Fay: so what are they mining that bothers you guys?
Root: the people from off-world are mining on top of one of our old temples full of iridium crystals. We asked them kindly to leave but they didn’t listen and forced us to that old temple we met at
Fay: so why do they want the crystals?
Root: the planet has lots of gold too but the crystals are high in energy and are good to be used in machines
Rust: we are getting close to the spot where we start our attack
*root picked up a heavy sandstone sword*
Root: do you have anything you can use to fight?
Fay: yeah of course I do, didn’t you see me blow up that rock
Root: yes just double checking

*fay got on some sort of surfboard at the spot* everyone was waiting for the signal

Unnamed sandperson: EVERYONE ATTACK!!
*Fay moved forwards towards the large round wall of the mines processing chamber*
She blasted it with a large beam of green light causing it to crack and a section to fall off
soldiers and hired miners shot down at the attack, the soldiers with weapons and the miners with laser drills
*the fighting continued*
The mine was already damaged but a wall caved in revealing behind it a cart of crystals
Sand person: GET THE CRYSTALS AND RETREAT
Fay went to cast a fire blast but instead it came out as a blast of radiant magic that reacted with the crystals bringing down the whole building
Sandperson:QUICK OUT NOW
*everyone fled as half the building collapsed*

(Back at the temple)
*fay walks up to the sand people’s elder*
Fay: I helped you all, so now can I train
Elder: haha… you see that WAS your training
You showed that you are capable of using our techniques, and now we give you them
*fay was handed a scroll*
Elder: now go to wherever you are told to
Fay : thank you though and all of you people here
Elder: you are welcome
(Fay got back in the sandboat that pulled up to the entrance of the temple)
Teblitt: hey Fay…
Fay: yeah?
Teblitt: you mind if I come with you on your trip?
Fay: not really
Teblitt: thanks!
(The two went back to Fays ship)
Juice stand owner: hey! There’s that little guy telling everyone my stuff is bad!
Teblitt: FAY HURRY UP AND GET THIS THING RUNNIN!
*the ship’s engines got ready*
*teblitt hopped in*
Juice stand owner: GET BACK HERE YOU LITTL—
But he was cut off by the sound of the ship leaving
