Can anyone relate?

Look at all those upvotes (I never expected getting this much)

I am confined to a locked building filled with similar looking rooms for most of my waking life.
I am trained to obey orders without resistance.
I eat at strictly set times, and go to the bathroom only if given permission.
I navigate from room to room and sit around most of the day only to be let outside once or twice a day into a caged yard to exercise limited freedom.
What am I?
