Lian was in a group selfie with his friends before they ate, so it's sorta like "the last instance of Lian being carefree for a good while"

*Mr whispered*
Mr: "you're gonna be ok."

Lian: "...I can't do this..."

*Mr's smile faded*
Mr: "..oh.. you don't have to.."

(He hands the phone to Mr.)

Mr: "..o-oh! Uhm.."
*He started talking to the phone*
Mr: "Hey Caleb. It's me, Mr. We haven't met much. I'm the guy with the bag on his head."

Caleb: "Oh, I know you! I see Lian with you a lot."

Mr: "Yeah. That's me. Lian wanted me to tell you what happened.."

"What happened...? Lian isn't telling me... Got me worried to death..."

*Mr told him everything that happened*

"Wh... wh... what...?"

Mr: "You don't have to, but I r-really think you should.."

(Just then, Lian's phone starts ringing.)

*Mr let him answer*

(The volume is a bit high, so Mr can hear the caller.)
Lian: "O-oh... h-hi, Caleb...!"
Caleb: "You alright, Lian? Did you get home safe?"

*Mr pulled his hands away from his face and made eye contact with Lian*

Lian: "U-umm... A... about th-that..."
Caleb: "...Huh? What happened?"

*Mr's mouth formed a weak smile hearing this*

Lian: "...I..."
Caleb: "Lian, what happened?!"

*Mr put his hand on Lian's shoulder to comfort him*

(Lian just starts sobbing.)
Caleb: "...L-Lian...? You okay, man...?"

Mr: "Alright. See you there."

(Caleb hangs up. There's a knock at the door.)

*Mr was surprised at how quick that was. At least, he hoped. Mr opened the door*

Mr: "Hey."

"Hey... are you okay?"

Mr: "..it's just.. what happened.."

"Oh... I get it. Where's Lian...?"

Mr: "Right this way.."
*He led Caleb to Lian*

"Th-that was... the last picture of me... b-before, um..."

*sniff*

"...A-are you okay...?"

*Mr put his hands on his face*
Mr: *sniff* "..it's just that you look so happy in that picture.."

"I... I thought it'd be a fun night... I- I could have never predicted what was gonna h-happen..."

*Mr whimpered*

"I- I was so vulnerable that night... I was full... I was t-tired... I f-felt safe..."

*Mr's upper body lightly shook*

"I... I just..."

Mr: "..it wasn't your f-fault.."

"I wish I could go back in time..."

Mr: "..and stop that man..."

"I- I just want to avoid the situation altogether..."

Mr: "..yeah.."

"If only I had known... if only I had known what sick, twisted events were about to unfold..."

*Sniff, cough..*

"Th-the worst part is that my friends don't even know..."

Mr: "..I'm not going to make you tell them, but if you do, they're gonna make you feel a lot better.."

"I- I don't know if I can..."

Mr: "I know. It's awful."

"Go***amn it... this is my fault... If only I had walked with him..."

Mr: "No, don't blame yourself, there's no use in that."

"The poor little dude woulda been safe if I just took him home..."

Mr: "Caleb, no.. he still would've tried even if you were there.. making yourself feel bad will just make more people sad.."
