Alright so I deleted for a couple reasons, biggest among them is that I just don’t have fun on Imgflip anymore. All my Imgflip friends have moved on and I’m not interested in hanging out with a bunch of kids. I have more fun on here with my friends where I’m able to speak my mind without a certain global mod breathing down my neck and I don’t get a bunch of kids complaining about something. Imgflip rn is a pretty dull place and I frankly should be doing something more productive than constantly checking a site that I don’t care about anymore. Second reason is that I am really fed up with the bs from Dylan and Donald. First off, Dylan makes it very clear that he gives zero f**ks about the Imgflip community, all he cares about is the generator tool as that’s what he considers to be the big money generator. That’s why you get updates like the stupid AI generator that only makes one picture a month unless you pay for Pro instead of the profile pictures that everyone has requesting for years. The only reason I see that Dylan keeps the community around is to crowdsource suggestions to improve the generator, I don’t think he would keep the community around otherwise. Donald is ridiculous with the way he mods, dude is out to get conservatives in my opinion. He dishes out so many ridiculous comment timer that while technically the TOS was broken, it’s clearly not something worth deleting or issuing a timer over. Imgflip is not a place where the adults can safely talk politics because if you say something even slightly critical of a group other than straight white men, you’re getting at least a 24 hour timer. I also don’t like what he did with MSMG where he said he’s keeping it forever. I’m not a fan of MSMG, it’s where 70% of the headaches running the site come from, but Donald keeping the stream forever is a straight up power trip. I sent him a rant about how he treats the users on the site and his response was basically to try and gaslight me then he ghosted me. One of the other things I brought up in the rant is that I didn’t appreciate being Donald’s unpaid occupation force for MSMG. Yes, Community Mods are not paid for the work we do, hence why we generally don’t do anything. Hell, we don’t even get a tiny perk like free Imgflip Pro, which shows how much Dylan cares about the Community Mods. This is why the approval queues take so long to get cleared, because I’m not working for free and the one guy who does get paid is in a different time zone than the
