PROLOGUE

Y'all have had to wait long enough for the prologue. So here it is! Its short but i don't want to redo it. If you wanna read it as soon as it comes out, Go to my Wattpad and you can read it there.

The silver light of the moon shows in the entrance of the cave. The silhouette of sleeping cats barely visible in the dark of the cave. A misty molly looking over them, her pelt almost matching the moon. Another cat, A larger one with a darker pelt than the first, Sat next to the pale molly. His eyes gleaming with worry.

"Quick Fade." The pale molly greeted him, her fiery eyes fixated on the caves entrance. "Misted Moon.." He greets back wearily. "What are you doing down here?" Quick Fade asked. "You said you'd let them find their way." he blinked at Misted Moon as she lifted her head to look at him for a brief second, Her gaze clear and controlled.

"I will," She meowed as walked into the cave, Sitting next to a brown ragdoll. Her fluffy silhouette hard to make out in the harsh lighting of the cave. "Everglade has guided her Tribe for 10 moons now without the help of the Guided Spirits. She will know what to do, Without any interference. Have faith, Quick Fade." she met the large toms gaze steadily. Quick Fade watched the ragdoll breath. And he nodded. "I do have faith, Misted Moon. I always have."

CHAPTER ONE

I was going to share this earlier but it was way to short so i made it longer! This is chapter 1, I just finished it and was very excited to share it. So please, Enjoy!

It is quite longer than the last chapter. But i hope you like it.

Everglade felt her paws hit the ground, she leaped forward, landing in front of a tree, in front of a rabbit. A smaller tabby quickly snapping the rabbit's neck with her teeth as it turns to run from Everglade. Everglade lifted her tail proudly "Nice catch Leaf!" she praised making Leaf's ears pink in embarrassment. "It wasn't that impressive..." Leaf muttered licking her chest. Everglade purred at the Trainee, she had only started her training as a Gatherer for 2 moons now, she had a long way to go. "Come on, grab your rabbit and we'll head back to the cave."

Back at the cave,

Spottie and Jackson were sharing a deer leg on top of the Basking Top. Aspen, and the kits where play-fighting as Essence watched over them. Her gaze glazed sleepy. Everglade padded into camp as Leaf padded up to her sister, Aspen, probably to brag about her catch Everglade would guess. A white tom bounded over to her; His tail held high. "Everglade, your back!" the white tom purred happily. "That I am. " Everglade butted heads with him. "Oh- Did Leaf catch that herself?" Everglade smiled softly, "She did well today, Speaking of trainees. How is Thunder doing? He's 17 months now, right?" she asked as him sits down, her fluffy tail wrapped neatly around her paws. "Ah, yeah. He turned 17 months today. He says he thinks he is ready for his exam." The white cat purred. "Great, would you fetch him for me? I'll tell him myself." Everglade asked. "Sure." He waved his tail towards the entrance of the small clearing. "Thank you, Kenny." Everglade nodded her thanks.

"Everglade? You wanted to see me?" Everglade blinked open her eyes to see a light red-brown tabby with a limp leg standing in front of her. "I did," She meowed as she pushed herself up. "So, Kenny and I were talking. And I believe you are ready to start your assignments." Thunder sat down; his tail lay next to his paws. "Oh- Yeah!" Thunder gave Everglade a bright smile. "What's my first task?" Thunder asked, His eyes filled with kitten-like excitement. "You're first task is traveling to the Open Grove by yourself. Of course, Some cat will be watching over you." Thunder nods. "Alright! When do I go?" He asked, Looking up towards the sky. "Tonight, when every cat is asleep. Alright?" Thunder nodded and he trotted over to his brother, Jackson, to tell him about his task.

Everglade was woken by light thunder in the distance, her ears twitched as dark clouds loomed in the distance, her eyes narrow. Tuffen, a young, smart, feline walked up to her. "Hello Tuffen, how are you settling in?" Everglade asked, the feline had only joined Cliff Tribe for a couple sunrises. Everglade was quite fond of them. He was respectful, Although Jackson sometimes made comments as he wasn't the most trustful cat, Tuffin was respectful. "I'm doing alright, Essence let me play with the kittens today. I think she likes me." They let out a purr. Everglade glanced at Essence. The black, sleek molly was resting her head on her paws while Aspen attempted to show the kits how to hunt as Leaf laughed at her as Spider leaped onto Aspen's tail and Hex leaped onto her brothers back.

Everglade let out a soft purr. "I bet she does. You might be one of the main trainers for Hex."

Tuffen's eyes lit up, their tail held high. "That'd be amazing! Thank you, Everglade."

Everglade nodded, Smiling at them. "Your welcome Tuff."

Everglade was cleaning the rain droplets off her fur when Kenny hurried into the den, His fur soaked from the storm. Everglade let out a huff of relief. Everglade sat down in the soft cave. Kenny then walked up to her and sat next to her, their pelts touching. Everglade didn't really care. "Cold?" Everglade asked softly, a purr of amusement in her mew. Kenny let out a playful scoff as he plopped next to her, licking his fluffy pelt. "Me? Cold? Never." Kenny purred as he lay his head next to her soft paws. Everglade rolled her eyes. "Just because you have fire doesn't mean you can't freeze dummy." Kenny sighed, "Yes, I am cold." Everglade wrapped her tail around him and gave him a lick. "Then let me warm you up."

"Thank you." Kenny purred softly with his eyes closed.

"You're welcome." Everglade said in between licks.

Soon Kenny was fast asleep. Everglade saw his steady breathing and soft snoring. Almost every cat was asleep or dozing off. She would have the gathers go hunting tomorrow. They hadn't hunted in a week or so. Spottie and Jackson had both finished the last of the deer that morning. She might take Aspen and Leaf out to practice hunting too, Spottie said Aspen had almost mastered dodging kicks. Leaf was a fast molly, she would do the chasing. Everglade yawned, Laying her head down. She had everything figured out for the next day. If it wasn't raining.
