its like powers from mario, like fire or speed or growth etc. you can get points from winning and can buy a super. the super loads up and if its fully loaded, you use the one you can equip. or it could be that it decides via the character you can equip and buy from shops. for an extra challenge the character could also be faster based on the one the player is playing
