Within; There’s a battle for my soul, and I’m fighting every day.
If I should ever falter, it’s with my life I’ll pay.
The demons whisper loudly, “ Just look at what you’ve done”
“ Noone could ever love you. I am your only one”
“The sins that you’ve committed, the things that you have seen”
“ You are completely broken, no one will intervene.”
I tell myself he’s lying, I'm not beyond repair.
But then I start to see it and sink into despair.
Everyone has shown me time and time again.
Though they say they love me. They can’t handle what’s within.
So I keep the demons buried and my feelings deeply hid.
That way no one can hurt me, except my demons deep within. S.B.M.K 2021
