Why is that even a thing? Why does a guy need to buy a literal diamond just to get engaged to be married? It’s not even to solidify the marriage.

It could even be a ring pop to do the engagement for all I care. It’s just a ring.

I 100% agree.

Not to mention some men spend thousands of dollars on a tiny worthless piece of a diamond that the woman just wears around her finger just to look pretty. Plus most people don't even notice, so theres no point in spending that much when its so small.

Plus why does marriage need to be "solidified" by a tiny piece of jewelry? Sure, it can be a nice gift. But I don't think a worthless piece of rock should solidify the love between two people.
