saying "ong" isn't even using the Lords name in vain

producing no result; useless.
"a vain attempt to tidy up the room"

having or showing an excessively high opinion of one's appearance, abilities, or worth.
"their flattery made him vain"

neither of these definitions apply to "ong"

it's not meant to be used in vain, saying "ong" is by definition not in vain
1 up, 2y,
1 reply
yes it is because your literally saying "on gosh"
im not using his name because its bad to say as a christian
0 ups, 2y,

So you just never say his name, ever?

I love how you ignore my definitive proof of my correctness and just make stuff up

i say it when in the right way like when praying or praising 💀

I thought it was bad to say as a Christian, or are you just proving you're wrong?
0 ups, 2y,

no, its bad to say his name in vain
0 ups, 2y
Wow really? I never knew that, totally not like I've already said that. My argument is that saying "ong" is not using his name in vain because the definition of vain literally doesn't apply to the term "ong"

so how bout you shut up and listen
0 ups, 2y
You've said nothing about saying his name in vain so I wouldn't know

so how about you shut up and learn to read

just stop arguing please, ive explained it enough
0 ups, 2y
You haven't though, explain to me how saying "ong" is using the Lords name in vain, please. If you can convince me maybe I'll stop but you literally haven't explained anything besides just essentially saying "no" to my argument
0 ups, 2y
I would consider "ong" as taking the Lord's name in vein because you're throwing his name around as a slang and not using it in a righteous way which is seen as disrespect.
I don't even use phrases like "God know ___, God forbid, God bless, etc." because it disrespects his sacred name referring to physical things.

Thats me personally though.
