It all began in 1983 when William Aftons youngest son, CC Afton, died in the Bite of 83. This was caused by his older son Michael Afton, who wanted to play a prank on CC. Michael put CC in the jaws of Fredbear, where his skull was crushed and he died. CC possessed Fredbear, and William wanted to know more about how this worked, so in 1985 he made the Funtime animatronics, designed to snatch and kill a child. Unintentionally, the main Funtime animatronic, Circus Baby, killed his daughter Elizabeth. Time skip to 1987, William kills his fellow coworker's daughter Charlotte Emily. She becomes the Puppet, an animatronic designed to protect her by her dad and WIlliam's coworker, Henry Emily. He then proceeds to kill another 5 children, where the Puppet attaches their souls to the main 4 animatronics, along with the Fredbear, where now Cassidy and CC occupy the same animatronic.
