*looks up at apartment complex*
(In thought) ‘Isn’t that the complex where the person went missing? Weird…’ *thinks about walking away but decides to take a few steps toward it*

*The sense of urgency reeked in the room, yet nothing was approaching, except for the quite possible death of the missing person*

*reaches the kitchen and opens the fridge*

*notices the fridge is empty and grabs a glass of water, filling it up with the tap. Every moment not spent trying to save this person is a moment wasted.*

*You hear their labored breathing as time seems to drag on, going too fast, yet seeming to pause for hours*

*Everything was happening at once, it felt so loud even though it was quiet. The person is right in reach*

*You hear the sound of thumping outside the door, it seemed close to the door, and you could hear what sounded like panicked breathing, or crying, though it was hard to decipher*

*walks up to the apartment the noise seems to be coming from, hesitates, knocks on the door* “Hello? Is everything alright in there?..”

*Suddenly there’s a banging on the door, slowly decreasing in the speed of it, as if the person was weak, and running out of energy*

*tries to gingerly open the door*

*The door seemed to be unlocked for some reason, and it opens up to a gruesome scene. The person from the photo on the ground, shaking, with bruises and scars littered on them. There was a bloody scene in the back, a gore-ridden corpse lay in the back*

*eyes widen and instinctively steps back* “Ahhhh…” (thought) ‘Oh god, I should have brought my phone…’ *sees phone inside the apartment and tries not to look at the bodies as they inch towards the phone*

*The shaking person first seen in the missing poster starts to prop themself up, trembling, and falling down. They hold up their shaky arm and try to drag themself out of the door, but to no avail, they are too weak, and too malnourished*

*picks up the pace and realizes that was the missing person. Goes quite a bit faster towards the phone, and it’s almost in reach.*

“Please….” *You hear the missing person whisper, you could tell they were too skinny, and hungry to say it any louder*

*uncertainly looks towards the kitchen and sprints to get something*
