i love the series, but it's honestly just degraded over the last few books

I haven't read it. I just fell like it sucks. I haven't read it. And don't want to. I guess the main reason why I hate it is because my little brother is addicted to it.

it's pretty good, but you don't have to try it if you don't want to.

I've found better series. Like How To Train Your Dragon. The Wingfeather Saga. Mr. Lemoncello's library.
