I didn’t even know you could get them, I guess I don’t know much about Area Zero

Actually, that's not true. Some wiki's say that it's only available via Pokemon home, but not every wiki does. It's proven that you can get the griseous or via auctions in porta marinada, which would need a use, thus allowing Giratina to spawn in area zero on very rare occurrences.
