"Pilot" Walt and Jesse are stopped in the first episode of Breaking Bad by Krazy 8 and Emilio, who thinks Jesse leaked his identity when the DEA raided their lab. They threaten to kill them both, but Walter talks his way out of it by imparting his formula; it turns out to be phosphine gas. Emilio is ultimately killed, but Krazy somehow survives. Krazy 8 gets jailed in Jesse's basement. A few mischiefs later, and Walt is doesn't want to kill him. Walt tries to build a rapport with Krazy 8. When Krazy 8 steals a piece of a dish Walter dumps in a scene, Walt chokes him to death.
